KARACHI: The Central Library of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) organized two-day book fair, providing medical students and allied health sciences professionals access to a diverse range of academic resources.
The event featured exhibitors showcasing medical and non-medical books, journals, and medical equipment, fostering an environment of learning and innovation.
Vice Chancellor JSMU, Professor Amjad Siraj Memon, inaugurated the fair with a keynote address emphasizing the enduring value of reading. "Books have always been humanity's most sincere companions," he stated.
"In today's digitally saturated world, cultivating a reading habit is essential for critical thinking and professional excellence."
The event was attended by Registrar JSMU Dr. Azam Khan, along with Ms. Umme Ruma Rehan, Director Library, who highlighted the fair's academic significance: "This initiative bridges the gap between learners and high-quality resources, empowering our academic community.
