NCSW community engagement on The Art of Parenting, national policy

Islamabad: National Commission on the Status of Women, Islamabad (NCSW) & its partners, Aga Khan Development Network, Dukhtran e pakistan, and National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-e-Azam University, engaged with the community in Farash Town, #Islamabad , on "The Art of Parenting" national policy.

Experts emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between work and home responsibilities, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere and stable lifestyle for children. 

The impact of parental relationships on children was discussed, highlighting the need for positive role modeling.

Community members expressed concerns about social media's influence on children, with experts advocating for increased parental interaction and quality time. 

Experts from psychology and communications stressed the importance of understanding children's developmental stages to raise a better-informed nation, instilling values like dignity and honesty.

Both modules of "The Art of Parenting" national policy, Agoosh and Parwarish, are available for parents and teachers on the NCSW website; https://www.ncsw.gov.pk/.
