Karachi: Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Project Director of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Sindh, and Dr. Sohail Raza Shaikh, Additional Director EPI Sindh, recently briefed Minister Health Sindh, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, on the cold chain system and vaccine management for EPI Sindh.
The briefing was attended by key members of the EPI technical team, including Dr. Khalilullah Memon, Deputy Project Director, Dr. Arslan, Dr. Zain, Dr. Adnan, and Mr. Fahad Fehmi, EVM Coordinator.
Mr. Irshad Sodhar, EOC Coordinator for Polio, also joined the meeting.
The discussion focused on the importance of effective cold chain management and vaccine distribution to ensure the success of immunization programs in Sindh. By strengthening these systems, EPI Sindh aims to improve vaccine coverage and protect communities from vaccine-preventable diseases.
