KARACHI: The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi (UoK), successfully conducted the entrance test for its Ph.D. Degree Programme 2024 on Sunday.
A spokesperson for ICCBS stated that this marks the second intake for the Ph.D. programme in 2024. The test, held at the L.E.J. National Science Information Center, commenced at 10:00 am and concluded at 12:00 noon, with dozens of candidates participating.
Following the directives of Prof. Dr. Farzana Shaheen, the Director of the ICCBS at the University of Karachi, strict security protocols were enforced to ensure smooth proceedings, and unauthorized individuals were restricted from the test premises.
The spokesperson announced that the test results would be published on both the ICCBS and University of Karachi websites on January 5, 2025. He further elaborated that admissions would be granted strictly on a merit basis in line with the University's higher education policy.
Successful candidates will proceed to the interview phase, scheduled for January 7, 2025. Those who clear the interview will gain admission to the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD) and the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi.
