Karachi: The Young Doctors Association (YDA) JPMC held a successful cabinet meeting, led by Dr. Mehboob Noonari, Chairman YDA Sindh, to address pressing concerns affecting medical professionals.
The YDA demanded to ensure merit-based selection in the NTS test for FCPS and MCPS residency programs scheduled for January 5, 2025. Reconduct ward allotment interviews for house officers, free from bias and favoritism, using a proper selection committee comprising senior faculty members, it demanded.
Release the inquiry report and take action against the HOD Urology Ward for allegedly harassing a female doctor, yda demanded.
Yda officials also demanded for immediate payment of pending stipends for house officers and postgraduate trainees.
The YDA urged the administration to address these concerns, ensure a fair work environment, and uphold merit. If demands are not met, the YDA reserves the right to protest and boycott OPDs, it warned.
